Last Sunday Noah Granigan got on his Van Dessel Full Tilt Boogie and flew Floyd’s colors solo at the Koppenberg Road Race in Colorado.
Noah’s podium finish bodes well as he prepares for Dirty Kanza on June 1. The race consisted of 7 laps with each containing 2 miles of hard-packed dirt roads and a 17% climb (!). Colorado locals and those training in town battled it out on the rutted roads while trying to read the constantly swirling, super-gusts of winds. Jumbo Visma’s George Bennett and Sepp Kuss made an appearance as did eventual winner, Riley Sheehan (Aevolo).
White Line Cycling organized the event and they have a simple mission: to provide a first class experience for racers of every level. The Kloppenberg course has challenging features that bring out the locals who want to race hard with friends on roads that eventually lead to home. Mission accomplished.
