Immediately after the Tour de Beauce finished on Sunday, Serghei Tvetcov flew to Minsk, Belarus for the European Games ITT.

Unfortunately his TT bike didn’t arrive with his flight so he borrowed one, battled until just before the start to get a workable bike fit and power/HR reading then finished 9th behind winner and host country favourite, Vasil Kiryienka (Belarus/Ineos). Nelson Oliveira (Portugal/Movistar) and Jan Bárta (Czech Republic/Elkov) rounded out the podium.

Serghei’s form is building. He won the ITT at the Tour of Gila and recently won the Stage 3 ITT at the Tour de Beauce, where he finished 5th overall. He will next compete in the Romanian National Championships (June 28-30) and then represent Romania at the Sibiu Cycling Tour (UCI 2.1).
