After a low key start to the season in Arizona and winter training encampments throughout the southern US the team joined together en-masse for the first big Race of the season in San Dimas California. San Dimas is famous in pop-culture as the setting of the seminal favourite Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure – the movie the launched the career of Keanu Reaves. In cycling its the first big test before the NRC opening race in Redlands a week later. Teams show up ready to fight. And while winning in San Dimas is important, showing well is absolutely essential to ensuring riders and teams are on-point for Redlands a week later.

Silber Pro Cycling passed this important test posting up the following results and gelling as a team prior to training camp and the more important race in Redlands a week later.

Gord is a three-time Olympian with over 200 career wins. He retired from professional cycling at the end of 2006. He has been a Sports Director ever since, joining the team in 2014. He was inducted into the Canadian Cycling Hall of Fame in 2016. Gord and Floyd were teammates from 1999-2001.
