Charles won the 2017 Canadian Junior Road Championships with precision and panache. A natural rouleur, he went on to finish 2nd in the ITT and Crit at Nationals. He capped off his junior career representing Canada at the Junior World Championships in Bergen, Norway.

Charles is a proud Montagnais (Innu) from the Mashteuiatsh First Nations reserve located on Pointe Bleue in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region of Quebec. Nicknamed “la plume bleue”, Charles is a skilled hunter and fisherman.
